Welcome back to Sam's Bike, where we only talk about e-bikes. In this video, we are going through the full cost of building up my Dream Build Ebike for 2024, the Canyon Strive:ON totally custom-build

I've decided to use the Canyon Strive ON to build my electric mountain bike for the 2024 race/dream build. After checking it out in May 2023, I was impressed with its performance, so I recommend you check out my review of the Canyon Strive ON by clicking the link below if you haven't already.

I have compiled a list of the components that I used to customize my Canyon Strive:ON. The bike has been custom painted with UVES in Madrid and is in medium size. The parts include Fox 38s in 170mm, the new RockShox Vivid Ultimate, Hunt wheels with Schwalbe Tacky Chan tires, TRP DH-R EVO brakes, TRP EVO 12 derailleur, Crankbrothers Small Stamp 7 pedals, Forx 155 cranks, Bosch Race Motor, Absolute Black chainring and spider, Ergon E-Mountain Sports Seat, OneUp Dropper Post V2, OneUp Carbon E-Bar, OneUp 42mm Stem, OneUp EDC, and DMR Deathgrip.

I hope you enjoyed my detailed build video of the Canyon Strive ON. Make sure you subscribe to Sam's Bike because in the next couple of weeks, we will be reviewing this whole beast from every part, and giving it a verdict at Sam's Bike.

Mate the drone shot at the beginning is so rad! I don’t know what to choose… I like the whole bike as it is 😍

The color is amazing. The cranks, fork and shock are excellent...and you have the best motor in the business in that Bosch CXR. The only parts missing are wireless dropper, shifting. Overall...AWESOME.

Looks great! I bought the TRP Evo 12 shifter and derailleur back in December and absolutely love it! No more chain slap or chain drops. It almost seems like they developed it for emtbs because of how unjarring the derailleur works with the motor when shifting. Great choice!

What a bike Sam, it looks rad! I wouldn’t choosen any other components. TRP gears are not very known and I heard it works like a Switzerland clock. Looking forward to watch more videos of this bike.

8:12 reminded me yesterday when I installed my Eddy current on my ebike and couldn’t find the “Rotation” and arrow sign. Nice EMTB Sam!

OneUp makes the best stuff! The EDC lite is amazing and the death grips are a must on all my bikes!

Sweet build Sam. I'd only change two components. I'd use the Sram X01 Transmission and Rockshox Zeb Ultimate fork to match the Vivid shock. Looking forward to your ride review.

The bike looks stunning 😎. I think some TRP DHR EVOs are definitely my next upgrade.

How tall are you for the medium. I just ordered a medium and worried it might be too small. I am 5’10 215

That sure is a looker Sam, think I would swap to full axs, and switch the brakes to hope v4’s, and maybe some industry nine coloured hubs

Your very brave Sam revealing how much you spent on the bike infront of your misses. I have to keep things like that on the quiet 😊

Mixed shock componentry - yeah, performance wise no drama, but as a dream build these should be matched out ;)

Maybe change the motor cover colour from grey to pink? Apart from that, amazing build mate! I'm very jealous.😅

Hey I just tested the Yamaha and Brose Sram indoors so can't really get a lot of insight based off that compared to my Bosch and Ep8. I really like that Bosch is so sensitive to touch and gives instant torque so in that area it seems to be the best. I thought Brose gives steady power throughout. Yamaha is lazy to start and then gives a really torqy pull from maybe 5-15kmh. It's the new Moro not sure if the motor has changed. Just wondering if you had tested the Moro. I could go for the Brose Sram but I've had one Brose drop a belt and I don't want to keep a spare motor for whenever my motor randomly drops a belt and ruins a ride every 1000-4000km.

Hi Sam. Are you experiencing any battery issues? I've read the new latch system is stronger than the old one, but some people say there is still some lateral movement that could damage the conectors. Any insights?
