The Ford Ranger is an incredibly popular pick-up. As with all popular vehicles, a massive market exists in which owners choose to make their own Ranger that extra bit special and unique to all the others out there. This craze has become so very popular that Ford South Africa, as chosen to offer their own Ranger "after-market" styling package and one which doesn't void your warranty, meet the Ranger FX-4.

Under the skin, The FX-4 is based on the 3.2-litre turbodiesel double cab XLT model. Adding to an already solid and proven base, the FX-4 styling package adds a blackened radiator grille, fog lamp bezels, mirrors, roof rails and door/tailgate handles. Another very distinctive touch is the 17-inch Panther Black alloy wheels.

To make the whole package more unique and stylish, the FX-4 is offered in four individual colours, namely Frozen White (no additional cost), as well as the option of Moondust Silver, Sea Grey and Panther Black.

Further adding to the exclusivity, the Ranger FX-4 is available only with the XLT 3.2-litre turbodiesel motor, 4-wheel drive and specced with a full-leather interior and the inclusion of the intuitive Ford Sync 3 multimedia system with the likes of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ability.

The 3.2-litre turbodiesel XLT motor delivers 147 kW and 470 Nm of torque, which makes it very capable for towing and bottom end grunt, it also means that the FX-4 is just as capable as it looks! The inclusion of an easy to operate rotary 4WD drive select switch and hill-descent control further adds to the FX-4's ability no matter the surface.

Just like the sticker on the can, The Ranger FX-4 offers imposing styling, impressive performance and a true lifestyle-luxury double cab offering. It does all of this with the inclusion of Ford's 4yr/120 000 km warranty and a 5yr/100 000 km service plan and ultimate piece-of-mind.
