Make a river epoxy board aka charcuterie boards or cutting boards with epoxy resin. Makes a great Christmas Holiday or birthday gift. Just like a woodworking epoxy river table just a little smaller! With the proper release agent, the melamine forms are completely re-usable, which saves material, time and money. Woodworkers love an interesting project like these resin river boards, and it's a great chance to get creative or just make some holiday gifts for loved ones. Follow along as Willie Sandry the Thoughtful Woodworker shows the process step by step. Great DIY do it yourself project for beginner, intermediate, or advance woodworkers. We've ironed out all the bugs for you on this fun little epoxy river table woodworking project, so there's no guesswork. Have fun and be safe in the shop! Sometimes we type exoxy when we actually mean epoxy. If you want to make a DIY river epoxy table, then this is a perfect practice project. Make your mistakes with the river board and you'll have the technique perfected when it comes time to build the table of your dreams. Resin projects are fun, especially when you get the chance to experiment with different mica colors. Each color takes on a unique personality so very different than the last. Try blue, green and black first. Then go wild!

Been making similar boards for some time, but you mentioned the ammonium treatment to get that lighter color along the rivers edge, but I can't find your video on out how to do that. I've used fuming technics before but it darkens the entire piece. How do I prevent it from darkening specific areas... tape it? wax it? cry on it? plead with it? Can you direct me to the tutorial video on that as mentioned in this video. Thank you

Actually, rewatching the video, you did mention the sap wood. Bummer... My local wood vendor only carries milled pieces so I may have to experiment with it to get that sapwood look.

The music isn’t needed, in fact it’s terribly distracting. Great instructions and outcome on the project, though.

Great job, congratulations 🍾🎈. How much could be the overall cost to make it? A lot of work. It’s worthy?
