For those who don't know:
A MASTERKEY is a key who opens all the locks
A MASTERLOCK is a lock that can be opened with any key.

This man is one of those skyrim NPCs you pay to level up your character's lockpick stat

at Masterlock HQ
Employee: Boss, he's done it again, LPL uploaded a video on our locks
Boss: How long was the video?
Employee: Over 3 minutes
Boss: OMG THAT'S GREAT!!! What lock did he open?
Employee: 8 of them.

Did the math:
Using a stopwatch, I timed each lock from the moment a tool entered to the moment it opened.
By my timing, it took him about 25 seconds to open all the locks.
The video is 3 minutes and 13 seconds, which equates to 193 seconds.
This means that only about 13% of the video contained him actually picking the locks, with the average time per lock was about 3.12 seconds
With that, that means he could, theoretically, pick about 54 more locks than he did in the same time as this video.

"The door is locked! "
LPL: "which lock is it? "
"It says Master lock"
LPL: *laughs in inexcusable design flaws*

Before I discovered LPL, I always assumed Master locks were some of the best available, because of their relative high price compared to other brands. I'm glad I was fortunate enough to find this channel!

Love how this guy could EASILY use this skill to steal things, but he uses this knowledge to help us find good locks. Good man.

When I was a teenager, A friend of the family that installed doors. locks, knobs, etc. told me that locks were made to keep honest people out.

So, after watching your channel for a few months, I got a 141, like in the video. I’ve had a lot of fun picking it, and I actually realized that there is another bypass that wasn’t mentioned in the video. From what I gather, I believe it is missing a shielding plate at the end of the keyway, meaning you can simply push the locking lug aside with a simple pick. LPL always says that we should leave a comment if we have something to say, and this seemed appropriate.

I love how he stores the keys to the lock WITH the lock. The sheer confidence and disrespect for those locks is incredible

Not a design flaw if you have a habit of losing your keys...there's always a positive to bad design.

LPL must really LOVE the Masterlock as he has so many of them.

I always wonder if in fact the design phase actually produced a pretty solid lock, but these issues were introduced by someone cutting costs further down the line
