Turkish Bookseller Wins Copyright Case Against French Luxury Brand Hermes | Firstpost America

In an interesting turn of events, a bookseller in Turkiye won a copyright infringement case against French fashion luxury giant Hermes. The bookseller wanted to trademark his 15-year-old store’s name as “Hermes Sahaf” but the French titan wasn’t pleased by it. So, the brand launched a legal fight against the bookseller with an aim to prevent the use of Hermes. However, despite having stringent trademark regulations, the court ruled in favour of the bookseller.
