Axisflying Cineon Z20 DJI O3 Camera: No jello Gyroflow stabilized 4K samples / stabilization tests

After a couple tweaks (see below or skip to 4:32), I'm getting great results with the 2" Cineon Z20 with the DJI O3 Air Unit. This tiny cinewhoop is so much fun to fly, and the O3 camera and Gyroflow give great stabilized 4k footage. Of course it’s not as good as a GoPro, but it’s close enough for some situations and the size/weight difference is huge.

My Z20 was initially giving me jello / vibrations, but I fixed that by adding some rubber dampeners to the camera mount and using ND filters to keep my shutter speeds slower. See 4:32 (end of the video) for details. I also checked the ESC PWM since I know there are issues in some cases if it’s running at 24Khz. It was already running at 96Hz which should have been fine, but just in case, I tried changing 48kHz (since that's what's working for me on my Emax Babyhawk II HD), but that didn’t help, so I switched back to stock Bluejay 96kHz as it came.

Shooting parameters: DJI O3 camera in 4k 60fps auto ISO with shutter locked at around 200, normal color, wide, NO EIS, stabilized in Gyroflow. Added a bit of saturation as well as a tiny color grade.

The Axisflying Cineon C25V2 and C20V2 is out and looks to be a big upgrade from the Z20 and Z25. Will you be reviewing either one of those or both?

Thanks for sharing our findings and things you did to get good footage. Did your Z20 come stock with the O3 or did you add it to yours? I know you can get one with the O3 now but the model was also released without it. I’ve been chasing O3 jello and just plain weirdness since it came out on a few different frames, finally starting to get decent results out of it with Rocksteady.

excellent test! I will try to use the shutter locked, in auto it is not working fine, it is really slow, and sometimes I got over exposure areas, what ISO value did you use there?
