I was listening to the radio recently and heard a Ttb broadcast and this song was absolutely stunning. I have never loved a song more.

How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in his excellent Word!
What more can he say than to you he has said
To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?

Fear not, I am with you. Oh, be not dismayed,
For I am your God and will still give you aid;
I'll strengthen thee, help ye, and cause you to stand,
Upheld by my gracious, omnipotent hand.

When through fiery trials thy pathways shall lie
My grace all sufficient shall be thy supply
The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
Thy dross to consume and thy gold to refine

The soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose
I will not, I will not desert to His foes
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake
I’ll never, no never, no never forsake

Yes in the early 80s I would hear this on the radio. Now so many years later I'm brought to tears remembering the blessings by listening to Dr Vernon McGee🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

When I was 4-5 years old my mother would listen to his radio broadcasts. This was 1974-1975. My family used to go to his church but after he had left. The Church of the Open Door in Los Angeles. I have vague memories of being there. Hearing this song takes me back to my childhood. I have changed but Jesus has not. The J Vernon McGee messages are still just as relevant. Thx for posting it.

Growing up my mother and grandmother listened to this precious man of God teach the Word on the radio. They never missed a day. Such fond memories of hearing Dr. McGee’s voice echoing through the house.

I'm a little over 3 years and 3 months into this, the ELEVENTH 5 year "route of the Bible Bus". I have listened to Dr. McGee off-and-on since the late 1980's. Now that I'm retired, I'm riding the Bible Bus 7 days a week. These lessons and the commentary are so relevant in todays strange and challenging world. The old "Gospel" singers were so correct when they sang "TIME IS-A WINDIN' UP!" Please pray for the UN-SAVED!

I'm looking for the end theme "Jesus Paid it All". My baby niece is so happy when it plays. She has a little stuffed Jesus that plays old time hymns when you squeeze him. She is an incredible bundle of energy but instantly quietly stands there peacefully holding and kissing Jesus when it or "Jesus Loves The Little Children" plays. It gives us all goosebumps. I was listening to TTB and when the end theme came on, she instantly stopped what she was doing and ran over to me and grabbed my phone. When the song ended, she at only 18 months began trying to swipe and fidget with my phone to try and get it to play again. Does anyone know where I can get the recording?

We sang this today at a brother’s house dedication, and it instantly reminded me of JVM ... RIP, brother Vernon!

Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe, sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow!

I was reminded of this man of God today, and the wonderful old hymns he would play on his radio broadcast. After I came to Christ in the later part of the 70’s I would listen to his broadcasts on my car radio. Really needed the encouragement of the lovely rendition of How Firm A Foundation today. God bless you for sharing this with the world. I need to find the version of He Hideth My Soul that I also recall so well. Modern praise music is very weak sauce compared to the stirring hymns of times past.
