When an earthquake strikes, you will hear a rumble, ding, and a bell toll. The bell will toll the number of times = to the earthquake which occurs. (example : M4.0 will ring 4 times).

The most recent earthquake has a green placemark / flag on it.

Blue flag / placemark = the last earthquake which was looked up

Thanks to Kilauea I found this channel. I've always thought i more less understood the way earthquakes work, but i don't think anyone has explained it in a way I can intuitively understand the entire system as a whole, or the way the forces propagates from a deep quake out to the surface and hits weak spots. What I mean by intuitively understand it is that should i imagine an earthquake anywhere on the planet i can more less understand how that force will spread around the Earth. I just think that's neat, and some great teaching. Has become my nightly and morning watching. Thanks!

Dutch a few YouTube channels are saying that the earthquake in the midwest is rare and I had to tell them that there is alot of wells, pumping and fracking there.

Dutch after that 2.5 in yelly there was an earthquake swarm. Did a breakdown of the waveforms in jamaseis and most were long period earthquakes with harmonic-like components. No tectonic activity can cause those waveforms! Of course the magnitudes were somewhat low and the intrusion seemed to be localized, but it is no doubt magma intrusion occurred at midnight July 4-5 mountain time. God bless dutch!

Hi Dutch & All, White Island has been having stronger than usual blasts in the past 4weeks now. I have noticed 4 black blasts which is not usual ( is usually white).
Maybe you could take a look at the Geonet visual data of the crater Dutch.
We have been hearing loud explosion sounds, like gunshots, and rumbles. Geonet says it's minor unrest at level 1, but it's always at that level.
