Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but the missing guitarist (referenced in the audio subtitles but not visible), the disinterested and bored attitude of the lead singer, really the whole bands' awkwardness, tied together with the soulless off-beat dancing of the anime girls... it all really underscores that "lifeless' feeling spoken of in the lyrics that uncanny valley feeling of separation or alienation from pop culture and society.

Well done execution of concept imo.

Edit: Coming back to it the video makes me think of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, and it's interesting to compare and contrast the two. Certainly Nirvana's had a more optimistic, or at least whimsical perspective to their alienation and rebellion. Certainly seems like times have become more pessimistic across the decades although again, maybe that's just me.
