Me and my sister Lucina, loved this song, lost her life in 1975, but this song will always remind me of the laughter and love she brought to this world, your brother, Patrick, love you sister!

I used to sing this song when I went out hitchhiking in the 70s. You didn't really need to own a car back in those days, you just had to have a thumb and a bag of weed didn't hurt none. Those were the days my friend, which is another good song. Too bad they had to end.

We didn't think anything of hitchhiking in those days. Great song.

My friend remembers seeing my dad in the driveway holding a transistor radio to his ear singing along to this song. I have so many memories of my dad in the 60s, when I was a little girl, yet I am still jealous that my friend has one that I don't have. RIP daddy.

This song was on a Reel looking back on the 70's and I forgot about this great song so I had to come and listen to the whole thing. Those were great times at the beginning of my college days. What a blast. I am 75 and this song makes me want to go hitch a ride! These were the best days and now our country is so sad with the mess that we have! The younger generation will never know how much fun it was back in the days. I Love Music!

This is real music. Easy to understand, easy on the ears, easy to sing along with. It also makes it easier to deal with the world today.

The 8 people who don't like this song have no idea what good music is

I am still blessed to have lived through my teen years in the 70s. Graduated in 1979. Perfect timing. You kids today? You don’t even know. And man, that is tragic. Your futures have been stolen and you just go along so you won’t get criticized. Your screwed, and you don’t even seem to care. Y’all are fighting among each other while the politicians and power elite just play you.
