These videos are like therapy. Thesedays I can't RC due to legal and practical considerations where I live, but watching other people fly is a great escape and keeps the interest alive. Thanks guys for making such great vids.

Yes, I've had to stick floats on one of mine just to be able to say I have. Mine had the left torque turn because it had no float rudder, so I had to circle around into the wind to take off. It is a blast none the less, and you guys are the perfect example of what this country needs as role models, keep it up, and God bless you all.

I love the sound of that motor. One commenter said it needed more power on takeoff. I am no judge of that but I'll bet Alan has enough experience with that plane/motor combo that he has it dialed in! Besides, that motor has got to have a lot of torque, even at lower throttle settings! Good video guys!

Fly a cessna 182 skylane. You guys need to do a little more scale rc planes like this one. I like the way they look in the air and will really enjoy it if u do that for our scale rc plane lovers. U guys r doing a real good job flite test. Cant wait til the next episode.

Great tips for flying off water. We have club events that entail float fly's during the summer and they are the most fun. The big one is landing on water. You don't stall your landings like you do on the ground. You fly your plane onto the water and let friction slow you down. I have seen planes PLOP onto water and it's not pretty sometimes. It's soooo much fun! Sometimes it can be more challenging than flying off a runway!

Great flying, great tips and timely. I reviewed the Cub with floats footage and saw the link to the Flyzone Beaver. I really like the comment you made, Josh, to Josh when he asked about putting on the floats Now. Like my vastly more experienced friend told me when I bought that Beaver .... Learn to fly it without the floats first.

Anybody interested in a Tug/ Recovery R/C boat for float planes should check out "Springer" style R/C boats. They are basically the boat equivalent of some of the simple flitetest foamboard builds. Only a few simple pieces to cut out on a jigsaw.

That's a nice plane and I like that 4 stroke sound.
I just wanted to add that with other water craft, ie: boats, windsurfers etc, that moment when you 'unstick' from the water and rise up ( described as 'on the step' here ) is called going 'on the plane'. I suppose it would sound pretty odd to say, my plane got up on the plane. Hahaha!! :¬D
