At last! The only short film that featured Wheeler & Woolsey has finally been uploaded on YouTube. A funny satire about Cleopatra and Ceaser as performed by the duo with a wonderful cast of characters.

The BFI also has some 35mm material both in color and black and white on Rio Rita (1929) which may preserve many of the scenes that are missing from the currently circulating prints. It will be public domain in less than two years.

W & W fans will find additional information, and a rare Oh! Oh! Cleopatra lobby card, in my 2022 book (cowritten with Gary Rhodes), The Palgrave Encyclopedia of American Horror Film Shorts, 1915-1976. We were thrilled to have found this one!

What a great joy to finally see this masterwork, which so deeply influenced the likes of Liz Taylor, Joseph Mankiewitz, Gal
Gadot and David Lee Roth! Also a valuable warning to kids to stay off drugs -- they'll make a monkey out of you in the end!
