I think it's a common sense, like most things in life, you have options whether you don't mind waiting and getting something for free, or whether you want to jump the cue, which will cost you a bit!?!
For what is worth, this is a good move since this will only speed up the KYC process, which i think it's amazing

This could also be the option for those who engage with Pi after mobile mining is halted. In the Pi ecosystem as it is now, it operates like DLC content in gaming. IE. Buy gems to buy in-game items = Buy Pi to buy in-ecosystem goods and services.

I have a suggestion to the Pi team to boost Pi bid. By requiring Pi active sellers on "Map of Pi" to secure their own ".pi" domains in order to be listed on "Map of Pi". Moreover, on Pi bid to give users a time frame of around one week or so to secure their .pi domains in order to make demand on Pi by not just waiting till Pi Two Day.

Pi is a mess at the moment. Their KYC process is a mess, too. I have 5 people waiting for months before getting KYC verified. People who had requested KYC first should be verified first.
