RFID Reader Modules are not finished readers so they cannot read tags out of the box. Instead, they must be paired with a motherboard, provided with a power source, as well as connected to an antenna in order to read RFID tags. RFID Reader Modules are used in a product development cycle in order to either enable an existing product with RFID, or develop a new product with RFID capability.
