This movie isnt for people who like action and drama. Its for the people who have a deep love for the Art of storytelling. I think this was authentic. To see how the kids changed from yr to yr. It was real.

I thought this was a great film. It was simplistic without being boring. It was an awesome undertaking and deserved an Academy Award.

This movie is our generations time capsule of our boyhood.

I really loved the movie because of the fact that it was almost nostalgic. It isn't my life, or the actors life. But there was something about it that was just beautiful for me, I was remembering the times I grew up in. It was just weirdly familiar for me.

The movie isn't dramatic nor is it spectacular but it is so good and you should definitely see it. I am the same age as Mason so I felt a connection.

Why doesn't anyone like this movie? It doesn't have A+ acting or anything but it's real and authentic and I like it. relateable

That's crazy how they filmed it for 12 years. Really gives "authenticity" a whole another level of meaning in film making. Richard Linklater must be a genius for thinking this through. :)

Credits to the director and the team. For keeping the whole cast for whole 12 years, whoa that's hard.

If Paul Walker and Taylor Lautner could make a kid he'd look like Ellar

This film is so much different than a typical film in so many ways. I can see why some people would hope for more drama, but it really hits a lot of relatable situations that I've personally been through in my life. I'm 20 now and I found this movie emotionally introspective and I left the film with a sense that we're all going through the same thing. I absolutely loved this

I just finished watching this movie and I'm just speechless. What a good movie..just what I needed in this time of constant repetition in the movie industry. I am so impressed by the director, I mean, what an amazing idea to make a movie about growing up and actually filming it as 12 years pass by, with the same cast...! I loved it. I could also relate to it a lot, because I am just 2 months younger than Ellar/Mason. Brought me back some of the old memories :)

I kind of feel bad this movie didn't win an Oscar.

Ellar is scared shitless lol
it's a once-in-a-liftetime project, and it's life changing. And I'm very proud and greatfull to have been and to be a part of the generation that recived this wonderfull, wonderfull gift. Thank you Richard, for showing us a piece of history, and mostly, thank you Ellar, for being brave enough to let us see it.

Epic tie kid :D And I really recommend this movie! It's so good, beautiful and it's cool to see the characters evolve during these 12 years!

I loved this movie. I keep seeing a lot of people that didn't like it and I think they just didn't understand it. It's art. If you want a normal hollywood blockbuster, you have plenty to choose from. But there's very few movies anymore, like this one is, that are truly art.
