That seems to be a pretty important scene, revealing that entire civilisations are down there and she can actually communicate with them.

This reminds me of that one time where doctor strange went micro size to beat up certain bacterias so this little boy won't be sick anymore. In the comic at least.

Well some reports came out that in the movie itseld there is some kind of easter egg where a city could be seen inside the quantum realm. Maybe this is how scott survive and the reason this was cut was to set up avengers 4, in which maybe some evenets, likely major took place inside the microverse(quantum realm in MCU)
