I totally agree with this approach. It can work if you really work hard. The only issue is that Etsy can shut you down randomly, and it has happened even to big Etsy shops. I still think you should start a great Etsy store and work really hard... but never forget that Etsy can close you down anytime, any day and for any reason.

Alek, could you do a video on how you deal with customer enquiries on Etsy? Do you get many, and does it impact much on the "passive" nature of your income on Etsy?

Alek, you should volume up the video, since it's kind of low, so when the AD comes..it is shocking how loud it is. Thank you for your video always. <3

Love your videos and appreciate that you emphasize that the most success still needs to be driven by hard work (like anything worth doing). You have a slight audio blip around the 5:12 mark - not sure if that's worth fixing ;)

Your single mother must have been a fine woman. How well so many single mothers single-handedly raise their sons never ceases to impress me.

I like the idea of a mug only shop but also love creating other stuff..So do you suggest multiple shops or can I feature different products and organize them in separate groups. i.e. T-Shirts, Mugs, candles, etc? My shop is a work in progress. I listed some items few years back and let them run their course but didn't put much effort making like 8 sale, none from POD. Now I'm re-organizing and designing my shop and going hard but want to focus on growth. Appreciate your videos.

Etsy is not a build and then go on autopilot, though. If you don’t keep adding new stuff all the time your sales will start stagnating and eventually declining. Trends change, competition grows, copycats multiply. I know a bunch of 6 figure Etsy sellers and it’s been the same for all of us.
So getting a shop to a stable daily sales level is one thing, but staying there is still an ongoing process.

This just really gives me hope again... 🙏❤️ I am trying everything since almost 1 year... Now I ended up working constantly on 4 Etsy shops.. 🤯 One is kind of working, slowly, but I had sales every day. Somehow for no reason it stopped and now I sometimes doesn't make a sale for a week. That's my shop for Digital Items. Then I have one that I started with Shirts, Blankets, Bags, and a looot of other gift options. It started running and then my husband got very sick and I stopped for a few months. Now I am trying to build that one back up as well. Do you think that is possible, after it being at a stop for a while? Or should I start a new one? And then I also started one for Digital Art and one for Cellphone Cases... 😂🙈🙌🤪 I work an all of them daily from morning til night. But still, only a souple of sales. 🥴 I am so down the last days and I don't know what to do. Your advice with concentrating on 1 shop I kind of expected. ☺️🙏 But I don't know on which one I should concentrate on... I really need help and I don't know what to do. I wished somebody could look at my shops and tell me. 🦋❤️🍄

The great thing is this guy lives with you in Colorado! I reached out on IG, but he never replied. Great stuff, though.

That motivation video was exactly what I needed. Thanks Alek. I'm curious about embroidered products. I'm thinking of selling things like embroidered t-shirts, caps, and tote bags. Do you have any advice on that market?

thank you for making these videos, super awesome. Zero experience with all things related to this but trucked forward and opened up an Etsy shop, made it look aesthetically pleasing to promote customer confidence and trust, connected it to my new Printify account and signed up for mid journey. I'll be starting with mugs and I have some designs that I see are selling well but I'm very stuck at one part. I don't know how to put my designs on a good mock up. Trying to play around with Figma and Photo Pea and look for videos but I'm having serious brain fart 😵‍💫 would you make a video specifically teaching how to do this not on just a flat picture, but on a realistic looking one with dimension that wraps?
please 😭🙏
I published my 1st listing with the images the Printify provides but I'd like to use my own mock up as the cover page

I’d love to see a video on how you make the effects and b-roll on your videos.

Really solid work.
