Steamer vs Extractor | Which Should You Get? (For Car Detailing)

In today’s video I’ll be comparing steam cleaners and wet-vac extractors and talking about their applications and which to choose first if you are just getting on piece of interior car detailing equipment.

Excellent video, Heather. I bought a steam cleaner and a Vax 6131 Wet & Dry cleaner as my first interior valeting tools at the same time as part of a deal. The Vax was later succeeded by another wet & dry cleaner, but the steam cleaner is still there. I've found it useful for getting to places such as boot shut areas where pressure washers might not be so effective. Steam cleaners are good at working up the flattened pile in carpet mats & bringing dirt to the surface ready for extractors to finish the job. Hope this has been useful. 😊

Can either of these methods / pieces of equipment be used on indoor upholstery like couches? Or is this just intended for cleaning auto interior?

What do you think about steam extraction? I find very useful when i apply chemicals and after using a vacuum with attached steam nozzle like on the washing extractior to soften and remove all dirt with chemicals out of the material and dry it

I have the same set up as you and find that it tackles most interiors very well, I have a
Air compressor for the bad cars wouldn’t be without it

If u only have steam machine how do u get up all the dirty water from setts without using extractor?
