Disc Sander Accessory for Wood Lathe

This is an 8" disc sander accessory I designed and made to use on my small, 9" wood lathe. I opted to forgo a tilting table since I find they are rarely used. Instead, I focused on a sturdy design that is well enclosed for good dust collection.

That's a really good idea Brian. I rarely use my wood lathe.

Great video and nice design. I have a vintage Delta 12" lathe that I am now building a sander inspired by your design. For the dust shroud, I decided to create it on my 3D printer. So, a nice combination of woodworking and 3D printing.

Hi Brian. This is a great disc sander setup. I am considering building one for my Vintage DeWALT Radial Arm Saw.
Where did you find the Mounting Face Plate? Thanks in advance for any info you might provide. 👍👍👍
