What Is Sin?

"God is goodness", that simple phrase, is what brought me back to the church after years of disbelieving. I visualize it more as a way, a path, or sometimes even a vector. Keep to that path and you have a good chance at happiness and fulfillment, stray from it, i.e. sin, and you suffer the consequences.

God has gifted us authority, but when we sin we give away the keys he told us to to take care of (authority he gave us) to the enemy and betray Him. So if we love him we will not sin - still trying to learn this for myself :)

There are people who feed out of other peoples sins and make others weak. That is why I joined the Catholic faith, because these types of people exist.

My main struggle when it comes to what you said about repentance is this: you said that when we go to confession we are saying that now we are ready to accept God's will in our life again. The inner conflict I face is whether I am ready. Knowing that God knows the inner workings of my heart and mind, how can I say with confidence that I am willing to go back to what it is His plan for my life is? Thank you for the video, Fr. Mike

All right Father Mike .May Gbu .Your so happy which is good up beat personality .You dont even know how loved you are in a Godly way .Not a wierdo .The word sin in latin means no .When we sin we say no to God yes to are egos .May it never be .happens .When i asked Christ to have a personal relation ship with me .By me giveing my hart and soul to him .A couple of days went by .I was out side praying .I was truely sorry for my sins .It was just him and me .All of a sudden, I felt it go through me I was filled with the holy spirit .It was the most incredible feeling I have ever felt .yes i was sorry for my sin .The overwhelming joy was over the top .I wont live with out God ever .Never gona happen .You are deffently from a Scandinavia area The word things is what the called court a thing .to sweet .Gbu Father

My mentor taught me that sin means "missing your mark" as sinning refers when you miss your target with a bow and arrow. I recently learned this and have been applying to some parts of the Bible. For me it seems to make sense.

Sin is very simple. To rely on self without God. Even the good we do, although good in itself, is ultimately sin if God is not involved. That which is done which does not rely on the life of God is sin. That which is done by the life of God is righteous. But then I have the life of Christ within me, and He is my righteousness.
