The Wartsila 96c IS the largest and most powerful reciprocating engine. But the most powerful spinning engine in existence is the GE 9ha.02 industrial turbine, with about 570 megawatt or 765, 000 hp. Though not as big because it's a turbine.

What does the pistons size have to do with compressing the air in another cylinder? Does it have something to do with the air/fuel mix in the crankcase? If so, shouldn't that mix go into the cylinder that is compressing it? I'm confused.

I can't stand when I watch engine videos like this and the shot goes to some massive diesel engine with a million cylinders and half as many turbos with more displacement than an aircraft carrier and the narrator goes "This massive beast has 12, 000 HP!"

Okay... kewl. That's the least impressive statistic of that engine. Give me the damn torque!
