Hard drive is the first upgrade doesnt matter what memory or processor you have put a mechanical drive in and you will get dusted by ssd with minimum spec

Storage is for faster loading times of your own files, ram allows you to do more things at once just generally. Cpu is for raw processing power... if you are looking to upgrade for better performance, you need to check where your bottleneck is.

Ctrl-alt-escape... check your usage. If cpu usage is capped, then you need a faster cpu. If memory is capped, then you need more ram... if you sre moving, storing, accessing your own files... then you need an SSD, preferably an m.2

Now imagine a 96core CPU, having more than 256GB of RAM and Chrome still eating more than 2/3 of it 😂

I think the very liberal use of the word "upgrade" here is misleading.

Memory will make a difference to a point, I think 16 GBs is enough RAM for most people....

What if we put a 2tb SSD into a slot that can accommodate maximum 1tb ssd. Does it crash my computer.

i disagree, more ram is way better depending on your activites as i do a lot of 3d rendering and some gaming, i went full out with my pc using 4 4tb nvme and 128ddr4 with a ryzen 5950x which plays all AAA games with a 7900xtx with no issues in cooling or multitasking.
