Restorative - Gallup Theme Thursday Shorts Season 1

Gallup Theme Thursday is a live Webcast that targets strengths enthusiasts and coaches to provide a deeper context behind the language of strengths by talking in-depth about each of the 34 Clifton StrengthsFinder themes.

Those with strong Restorative talents bring a solution-oriented mindset to daily problems. They readily take on projects that others believe “can’t be saved.” They can analyze a situation, identify potential shortcomings, and make the necessary adjustments. Individuals with high Restorative talents tend to be more comfortable with problems than others, and they have the ability to find the root of a problem. The motivating factor for finding the origin of a problem is the subsequent quest to land on a solution. This is why the Restorative theme falls into the Executing domain. Having strong Restorative talents doesn’t necessarily mean that an individual is actively anticipating problems. But when a problem arises, they are quick to react confidently.

I found the point of being a problem prevention thinker being very true.
And whenever I’m dealing with problems, I am that type of person who would say: “well the plans a and b are good, but have you think of the plan c? Blah blah blah…”
I think sometimes it really frustrates me to realize that not every “creative” solution is feasible, but then the Adaptability theme comes in and I would quickly make plans d e f that might be adapted in the situation (lol).

Restorative is my No.3 strength. I find problems fascinating and won't sleep until I find a solution. I would find the weirdest way to solve problems and it's all fun to me lol

I find it very frustrating when others don’t want to solve problems or have urgency to do so. lol

I’m like, “oh there is a problem? Yay!!!! Let’s solve it!” To me it’s so much fun because it’s like a Rubik’s cube puzzle in my mind.

Once I solve it or have a light bulb moment, I can the tools in one hand & my will in the other. I am just like, “let’s go baby!”

I find it so boring when others don’t want to solve the problem.
