The tutorial of adjusting the Simera 28mm f/1.4 for precise focus with a rangefinder focusing.

1. The method of adjusting the square on the “left”
--Reduce shims.
Use screwdrivers and other tools to rotate the brass ring (the top ring). After rotating the brass ring, remove one of the gaskets on it (the thinnest one by default). After removing it, rotate the brass ring into the lens, and then install the lens on the rangefinder cameras to observe whether the squares at infinity overlap.

2. The method of adjusting the square on the “right”

--Add shims
Use screwdrivers and other tools to rotate the brass ring (the top ring). After rotating the brass ring down, put the gasket into the ring, screw the top ring into the lens, and then install the lens to the rangefinder cameras followed by observing whether the squares at infinity overlap.

There are gaskets of different thicknesses for choice: 0.1, 0.05, 0.015, 0.02, (unit: mm)
Choose them according to the actual offset distance for fine adjustment

Can the 50mm 1.4 be adjusted? How do I do it? I just got one and the focus is way off at longer distances.

I guess this will apply to the 28mm as well?
