That shimmering around Anakin at the end was not the result of editing him from another part of the movie into this video. It was because Anakin turned into a Force Ghost after Obi Wan’s epic burn.

Hey everyone, IARESMART here to explain the joke. This is a remake of an older Ash Platt meme, but it checks out. This video utilizes a scene from Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith; towards the end of the movie, Obi Wan and Anakin have a duel that ends with Obi Wan taking the high ground. Anakin then attempts to attack Obi Wan (which is a dumb move, since Obi Wan is on the high ground) to which Obi Wan responds with "Don't try it". In the movie, Anakin tries and fails, but in these meme he actually doesn't try it, and asks for Obi Wan to forgive him. The joke here is that the audience doesn't expect Anakin to back down, as it would be out of character for him. He is typically headstrong and reckless, so seeing him back down and ask for forgiveness is quite funny. It's also strange to see such a legendary battle end so anticlimacticly: this is one of the most important battles in the series, but to have it end like this would change the whole timeline. So all in all, this makes for a pretty funny meme. As always, thanks for reading and I hope I helped you understand the joke.
