One of the greatest recordings of musical performance art ever, period. They didn't copy anybody; nobody could or can copy them, either. Completely unique unto themselves. Timing; phrasing; appropriate body language. It's all right here.

Fun fact - One of the cameramen filming this show, and who was on tour with The Doors all through 1968 as a roadie, went on to become a very famous actor. Harrison Ford.

Perhaps one of the greatest true Rock n Roll concerts of 68

Duuude, I cant even describe how powerful and great this is. The way it flows, absolutely brilliant.... this will take you on a trip around the galaxy and back. The whole show is like a theatrical perfomance act, a story being told, slowly unwinding in front of you and then comes the culmination point and catharsis - The End .... what a ride .... and Manzarek here, what a genius. I never focused much on the lineup so when I realized there was actually no bass player and all the bass lines & melodies were played by him on the keyboard at the same time it just blew my mind, such a creative force. Incredible musicianship, the music just flows in and out and breathes as one unit here, accompanied by Jim's poetry. Absolutely top notch. But maybe im just way too stoned, dunno :D

Anyone ever notice how John, Robbie, and Ray are never facing the audience but always facing Jim. The perfect band. 🤌

in 2025 in my 61 years on this planet, i still havent heard a band that sounds anything close to the Doors, definitely no guitarist that sounds anything like Robbie, so unique, so original

Just listened to Rick Rubin interviewing Krieger and Densmore and they think they sucked at this gig! They said the lsd made Jim introverted that evening. I still think it's an awesome performance.

I know that nobody is interested in my personal experience, but I've learned about the Doors from a dream I had 5 years ago. These people are truly transcendental
