Another good one! A detail I had not heard before was the effect on the Titanic's ability to steer when the engines were brought to full stop. That included the central prop which normally would have been more efficient with the prop spinning.
Hmmm.
Also interesting, near the end of this show, the animators show the Titanic stern going down almost horizontal and the deck quite tilted to the ocean. Not what we have come to "see" where the bow is up in the air and sinks almost vertically straight downward.

We cannot blame the sinking of Titanic on one person because it was a series of mistakes and bad luck that led to the disaster.

The triple screw design helped to doom Titanic.

Titanic should have taken a full head on blow. It would have only damaged the forward flood tank if that.

Also, they were supposed to the right of the iceberg, but mistakenly turned to the left. Whether that would have made a difference, I don't know. Of course, they would not do a head on collision

Many people thought that since Olympic didn't sink after it's collision with the HMS Hawke, then Titanic couldn't sink

Another mistake, they moved the burnt coal to the other side of the ship causing a slight list to port. As a result, the side hit by the iceberg was slightly lower in the water

if Titanic had it's maiden voyage in March, she would not have met the iceberg that sank her. Despite a coal fire on Titanic, White Star Line did not want to delay the maiden voyage any further
