CTM or CTR - Counter-Mode

Counter Mode (CTR) is a block cipher mode of operation used in cryptography for turning a block cipher into a stream cipher. In CTR mode, a counter is used to generate a stream of pseudorandom blocks, which are then XORed with the plaintext to produce the ciphertext. It is widely used for encrypting data where concurrency and random access are important, such as disk encryption and some communication protocols.
