Bill is SO evil. Seriously. Thinking back... okay, most of my crushes were same-age and oblivious. (Even a mutual crush that happened around Dipper's age, so ... it is SO annoying that neither of us was Dipper-level obvious about it, but at that age it probably would have just been silly. And leading to a lot of bruised noses.) I can remember a couple that were about Dipper-Wendy range that if in that kind of situation... the world would totally end. I have nearly negative willpower in that respect.

I kinda forgot why Bill called this his most diabolical trap. Right up until he almost seduced a teenager and turned every single character and geographical feature of the bubble turned into roaches/decaying yarn. Eugh.

I love how this really affirms Dipper as a character. Throughout the show people diss him for being weak, for not being super smart without the journal. But Dipper's greatest strengths were always his observant eye and titanium balls. When his back is against the wall, he comes out swinging even in the face of death. And when there is deceit and tricks he can find his way through it.
