Mercantile Sampler Sew Along - Birthday Cake Sampler Block Tutorial!!

Welcome to my sewing room...I hope that you enjoy our Quilty time together today:)
In this video I am talking about my new sew along for the
MERCANTILE SAMPLER QUILT and showing you how to make the first Sampler Block called BIRTHDAY CAKE.
I am using the 2 1/4" and also the 4" Trim-It Rulers to trim the half square triangles in this block.

Good morning. I usually do not make comments, but I have to say that I love your fabric line. It brings new inspiration to my quilting world. I have been quilting for 30 some years and watching your videos have taught me new skills that I did not know. I am always learning new tips. Thank you, Lori, for taking the time to provide your tutorials. I started watching you with your "Bloom" tutorials. I have the kits for Bloom & Autumn Love but have yet to begin sewing them. My husband of 50 years passed away December 2022 and my life doesn't seem to have purpose. I would sit with him while he read & I would listen to your tutorials with my headphones. I feel my sewing skills are still borderline beginner/intermediate and I am still trying to get the courage to begin sewing again. Hi Lori! Hope you are well. I have missed seeing you here on your You Tube channel. Looking forward to your new book Prairie Home coming in November. I love all the fabric lines you have come out with and your ideas on ways to use them. I have noticed that you are revisiting some of your fabric lines such as Calico and Autumn and that Prim is going to be reprinted. I hope someday you will re-visit Farm Girl Vintage. It is my most favorite of all. It brings me such joy to work with it. When I am working with this fabric line I feel like I am out on the farm on a bright sunny day and that makes me happy! The colors in this line are so bright and cheerful!😊 I love looking through both of your Farm Girl Vintage books there are so many fun ideas! The hard part is deciding which project to do. I am thankful that Fat Quarter Shop still carries the Farm Girl Vintage line but I am always afraid at some point it won't be available, so I hope that you will do a reprint of this line someday. I appreciate you and all you do and share with us. Thank you!❤
