Twelve injured in shooting at pub in Toronto, Canada | BBC News

A dozen people have been injured in a shooting at a Toronto pub and three suspects are still at large, police in Canada say.

The shooting took place at 22:39 on Friday local time (03:39 GMT Saturday) near Scarborough city centre in eastern Toronto.

Authorities said 12 people were injured, including six with gunshot wounds. The injuries were non-life-threatening and that the victims ranged in age from 20s to mid-50s.

Police said there were three male shooting suspects. Earlier, they said that one suspect, wearing a black balaclava, had been seen fleeing the scene in a silver car.

Torontonian here... This is the fourth or fifth shooting in the past week or so... There is a TOW TRUCK turf war - YES, you heard me right a TOW TRUCK turf war...Less than 48 hours ago two were shot... one succumbed to their injuries along with their dog. That house has been targeted over 5 times since 2019...Three times last year alone... This ongoing war has been in our city for decades but has recently escalated in the past five years or so.... The police were asked if this pub shooting was related to the turf war and their reply was "We are open to that", which tells me that it probably is or else they would have commented it is too early in the investigation to say... Note, we do have strict gun laws in Canada but, I would say that 98 percent of all shootings, especially in Toronto, are done with illegal firearms...and not all shootings are necessarily reported...

Call it for what it is. There’s a tow truck war between two Tamil groups in Toronto’s east end. Morning of March 7th an innocent family member was killed during a shooting in Markham Ontario. This appears to be retaliation for that incident. The owner of this pub is a big fish in the tow industry and who is very likely fuelling the cycle of violence. The Boston Pizza less than 200m from this pub was burned down 3 days ago. A coincidence? I think not. These guys are treating the pub industry like a turf war.

It's sad that this happened one question that should be asked how did the shooter get the gun without a license and where did the gun come from.

Do you notice that not only the cops don’t give us any descriptions of the suspects from the video they viewed but that the Government owned media doesn’t even ASK for descriptions?
