For pros riding endurance pace, long rides under Tempo and around Tempo is essential but for amateurs who don't have 25h/week to train and access to recovery, rest, medical and nutritionist is a waste of time, ride hard, recover well, repeat and you will get stronger

I don’t understand how zone 2 training can actually be done when you’re ingesting tons of carbs. I mean sure, your heart rate can be low-ish but the main argument is about fat metabolism, which will not happen if either a) fat is really scarce, which it is for him, or b) when simple carbs are available, which is qed true also. So he’s really actually not doing z2 during z2?

IMV The interviewer comes across as totally charmless.Like a robot with an annoying voice. Great to hear Tadej though.

Taking nutrition advice from Pocagar is like asking advice about telling the truth from Trump or Johnson. He's totally unique, none of that is going to rub off on us.

Nothing like asking the questions and giving the answers, comical how misleading the click bites are from this video, Tadej admits he goes for 5h 330W rides but wants nothing to do with the bike the day after, that is not the Zone 2 PA and others are so in love with, let's not forget Tadej no longer uses Dr San Millan as a coach because he was the one advocating for low intensity and long, his new coach has a different approach . Another comical fact about how he can go 5h averaging 330 W, most pro cyclist can do that, Triathlets swim 2.5miles, bike 200k, run a full marathon and they too keep 350W average for 5h during bike.

Their pancreas is surely suffering producing the amounts of insulin to cover all these carbs.
