I made this music with the main purpose of accompanying an inspiring story and trying to convey hope. I am not one to say that the Ghost of Kyiv (as an individual pilot) is real or not. Perhaps we will find out over time. But for now let's try not to take for granted something that has no proof, nor rule out that there is one or more pilots/soldiers/people leaving everything for freedom and peace where inspiring stories can come from. Let us continue to pray for all those who are suffering. And remember that the first casualty of war is truth.

*In a rocking chair on the back porch of a house sat a man. His face scarred by battle, his soul stained by the bloodshed of a past war he fought to protect his homeland. His grandchild sat crosslegged in front of him, wide eyes gazing in admiration and adoring wonder at him as he prepared to speak of a tale that had been told to him a hundred times since his birth. The old man took a deep breath in and let it out, suppressing the demons of his past.* "Listen, my dear grandchild, to the tale of a time that to some feels oh so long ago. A story of good and evil."

"When our hearts were broken, when the skies grew grey and smoke choked the air within the lungs of our people."

"He arrived."

"A bold courageous lone pilot with fire in his eyes that burned fierce and bright. His MiG-29 screamed like a banshee as he defied the enemy that threatened to destroy us. On the first day he defeated many men and became a revered ace. The second day he continued even as his gravest foe, The Black Bear, rampaged across the land."

"The days of strife continued, the fighting unceasing. Many grew tired and weary yet still we pressed on for overhead flew over us a guardian. A beacon of light that stood against the darkness that howled as it encircled us in it's maw."

"In his wings he carried the spirit of the people that which fueled his unwavering resolve. His canons roared as they pounded the beasts of men, punishment and justice raining upon the enemy with righteous fury. Each missile he fired flew true to their mark, striking down the wayward souls of the condemned, staving off the darkness."

"The monsters did their best to slay him. To silence the voices of our people and quell our defiant resistance. They failed time and again. No matter how many of his brethren they slew, no matter how much of our land they burned, our valiant spirit never faltered to rise against those who sought to crush us."

*The child listened intently, engrossed in the old man's story.*

"Some say he was a hero. Others, a myth. To the oppressive tyrants, a vengeful specter. We never knew who he was. We didn't care if he was real or just a name who's tale was meant to inspire courage and bring hope to the victims of the Red Legions. What we know is that he was more than a man or a myth."

"He was our spirit. Our country's soul raging against the Red Dawn that threatened to swallow us whole and consume us with such dark efficacy. He delivered us from the depths of despair and defeat. He was a symbol of the free and the brave. He gave the enemy hell in exchange for our survival and we placed in him our faith. He asked of us only one thing: to believe."

"We believed."

*The child shifted in place, fidgeting eagerly as he asked a simple question he already knew the answer to but loved to hear answered no many how many times it was asked:*

"What was his name Papa?"

*The old man placed a rough gnarled hand upon his grandchild's head and tussled his hair affectionately with a smile, tears of pride in his eyes.*

"The Ghost of Kyiv."

Ghost of Kyiv reminds me a little of the Ghosts of Razgriz. People debated if they were real or not, but they were a beacon of hope and inspiration to their allies to continue fighting

AWACS Legacy: Legends say during a war for Ukrainia.. A pilot came from beyond the veil to protect the country he loved dearly... In a single day... During the first day of the war.. He took down 6 aircraft to save his beloved city from an enemy attack. After he repelled their advance.. He flew over the city of Kyiv. The people of Kyiv cheered and praised the their savior as he flew overhead. Making sure that the skies were safe for those below. An ace was born that day... and his name.. is the Ghost of Kyiv.

oh hes out there i think.

Out there in every Ukrainian Soldier. Out there in our hearts.
He represents the fighting spirit of the Ukrainians and our Solidarity with the Ukrainian People.

So i think, even if hes not real,
I believe in a way,
He still is out there.
SLAVA UKRAINI!

The Ghost is not just one man, but the embodiment of the Ukrainian air force which scrambled in their country dire hour of need giving hope and inspiring more Ukrainians to become heroes themselves.
Ghost they have become, yet their legend lives.

Whether the Ghost of Kyiv is flying out there right now or really just a ghost, his mission is complete if he inspired real Ukrainian pilots to give it their best. And I'd like to think the two probable Su-30 kills by Ukrainian Su-27s are inspired by him too

The real life version of Ghost Of Razgriz.

May they live on as legends.

Personally, I’m of the mind that every Ukrainian pilot is a Ghost of Kyiv. That way they’re all getting credit for their bravery and heroism instead of ascribing it to one person that probably doesn’t exist.

When history witnesses a great change, the Ghost of Kyiv reveals itself... first, as a dark demon. As a demon, it uses its power to rain death upon the land, and then it dies. However, after a period of slumber, the Ghost of Kyiv returns, this time, as a great hero.

June from South Korea.

I was a Korean soldier. Watching this Ukrainian war once again made me realize why soldiers should fight.
Ukraine, don't lose! Ukraine is the country that fights for true peace.

To everyone arguing that Ghost of Kiev is an urban myth, a Ukrainian propaganda piece:

It doesn't matter. Not in the slightest. As long as people, especially Ukrainians fighting out there right now, belive that he exists, it makes no difference if he's real or not. He puts pride in the hearts of Ukrainians at the frontlines either way, legends like that push people forward and raise morale. And sometimes, just sometimes, legends of mythological heroes make real heroes show themselves.

Fly high and give them hell, Ghost of Kiev. For all of Ukraine.

This music feels like Ukraine acquired Belkan technology like the ADF-11F Raven from Ace Combat 7 and this aircraft flying out destroying Russian jets left and right and sending the famous message from Cruik Fortress from Ace Combat 5: <<We will go back to our country real soon.>> and a following message: <<Beware red bear.>>

But prayers go out for Ukraine that this war will end soon and a lot of lives shall be spared from this! Go Aces of Ukraine! o7

Man never in a million years would I have ever thought that I will be able to hear about this kind of story in real life...I honestly thought stories like these would only be in video games like Ace Combat

I’m not Ukrainian.
But why does hearing this make me feel so patriotic over a country I’m not a part of? Lol
Stay strong, Ukraine. Real or not, may the “Ghost” watch over you
