Thank you so much for including the Cry Me A River rehearsal version omg it was so good! I think all her rehearsals versions are much better than the TV versions. AND I AGREE WITH THE D5 BEING SO RESONANT AND ROBUST

She also did a run at the end of her rendition of “reflection” that had a high note at the peak of it as well. That was toward the end of the song. I belted run.

I see people debating Faouzia's vocal type (Mezzo or Soprano)
I think it miiiight be more complex and amazing than that 😏

I would like to know what y'all think about my theory about Faouzia's voice....

My guess is that she could be Full Lyric Soprano OR a future Dramatic Soprano which is rare these days. And freaking epic!

Of course she is soooo young, so she still needs to develop her voice to be one of these 2

Sopranos are classified into different categories based on their range, timbre, and dramatic capacity. Here are the main differences between a dramatic soprano and a full lyric soprano:

### Dramatic Soprano

1. **Range**:
- The range of a dramatic soprano is often broader, with an ability to sing powerfully in both the middle and lower registers.

2. **Timbre**:
- The timbre is rich, dark, and voluminous, capable of conveying intense emotions and deep drama.
- The voice is often heavier and more powerful.

3. **Power**:
- A dramatic soprano has a voice that can soar above a full orchestra without amplification, with exceptional projection.

### Full Lyric Soprano

1. **Range**:
- The range of a lyric soprano is also broad but focuses on the middle and upper registers, often more homogeneous and flexible than that of the dramatic soprano.

2. **Timbre**:
- The timbre is lighter, brighter, and purer than that of the dramatic soprano.
- The voice is often softer and less powerful but with a clarity and beauty that can be very moving.

3. **Power**:
- A lyric soprano does not have the same vocal power as a dramatic soprano but can project well enough to be heard over the orchestra in appropriate repertoire.

### Comparative Summary

- **Vocal Weight**:
Dramatic > Lyric

- **Range**:
Both have a broad range, but the dramatic excels in lower registers while the lyric shines in the higher ones.

- **Projection**:
Dramatic > Lyric

And people think she is a Mezzo or “Alto” even tho she is a very clear Soprano with a very good mid voice & lower register 😁
