Recently ran Ypsilon-14 using the 1e character sheet and conversion kit from backing the Kickstarter and had a blast. It was this group's first time playing mothership and they loved it. Really excited to get my 1e set and my Hull Breach vol. 1 backings this year!

I like how Hideo's World has a sort of optional hook in Pound of Flesh. Like it's an add-on side quest! And it's implied in Hideo's with the line about him being willing to leave if he's given a problem to solve elsewhere. Anyway! Cool stuff!

I love Mothership so far. I have been running a fun little game where my party controls the entire crew of the exploration starship Gemini, which is currently lost in space (and perhaps time) after an accidental Jump 9+. After manually force-ending the jump, they found themselves orbiting a (formerly) habitable planet with a massive debris field, and human life signs emanating from its moon. One of the scientists went mad after touching a biomechanical computer that downloaded alien knowledge into his brain, and he went off rambling about bird-men and quoting Ozymandias, while the local cult offered them shore leave as an apology for pinging some harpoons off their hull ;)

God I love this game.

Love your system, DM-ing mothership is fun and full of improv moments. Trifold brochures were meant to do just that

I just ran Ypsilon-14 again last night. You can run it zero-prep, but a few minutes in advance thinking about customizing the hook and figuring out where the NPCs are will go a long way. This is my favorite module format, FWIW!

I ran Hard Times at Anarene’s Folly and thought it was great. I really liked the escalation track, makes it easy to know where the adventure will go without ‘railroading’. You will probably want a spaceship floor plan though, maybe a station one too.

Gotta take a dump is always a good stalling technique. Try it on a date when you need to google the topics your date brought up.

Loved the subliminal messaging at the start...
Must... buy... all...

I was surprised about the hacker's handbook. Put off originally because it's not an adventure, and could result in a single player taking all the attention while hacking, but seems neat.

It's funny how we all know it's, Hideo Kojima but can't mention his last name
