It's not a secret that she does that on her show. People know what they're getting into. I'm certain someone with a personal space issue would either turn down the invitation to go on the show or make sure Drew's aware. Too many of y'all think grown adults can't advocate for themselves.

It's only a problem if she isn't respecting boundaries. If the guests are fine with it, why make it a big deal? I hope there were conversations surrounding this between Drew and her guests.

Drew seems so nice and sweet. Honestly I feel like if someone was uncomfortable she wouldn’t do it to them or be “in their face.” I think people forget she’s a celebrity too and honestly probably looks at these people as her colleagues and friends and equals. At least she’s not being boring or rude.

Also, her making the Lahaina fire all about her was disgusting, she’s horrible.

I feel like going on Drew's show and not expecting her unique brand of extreme closeness would be like going on Hot Ones and not expecting to eat super spicy sauce. The interviewees know exactly what they're getting into and they are there specifically for that experience. I honestly don't see the issue. There seems to be consent and an expectation that the interview will be in that style.

“it’s so weird! it’s unsettling” if a celebrity is uncomfortable they usually LET THEM KNOW!!! interviews are probably stressful, she’s making them feel comfortable!! if i’m being recorded to national television being filmed with those hot lights with a live audience, i’d want the interviewer to make me feel at home!!!!

The only person that looked caught off guard was Jennifer Aniston. The way her head shot over to Adam 🤣 but she reeled it in with “you’re the cutest thing in the world” which sounded like the Hollywood version of “bless your heart.”

Shes been around forever and knows so many of her guests personally, so while she thinks its ok to talk to her guests like they're just casually chatting on the couch at home... she doesn't realise how weird it looks to everyone else. She's definitely got that "golden retriever" personality 😂

Imo Drew wanted to give the impression it's like 2 friends bsing on the couch at home... having great convos, showing comfort & support for ea other while also joking, crying...whatever happens. She is a people person. Some people are touchy feely type people & others aren't. Some like a hand shake others love to give hugs instead. It's just her style. And good for her being her true authentic self no matter what others think!

There’s actually an interview with Gigi Hadid where she says one of the selling points for Bella coming on the show was that she’s touchy feely and that they are scary similar in their communication styles. I wouldn’t like it personally, but it does sound like the guests talk about it before hand. Also a lot of the guests you showed clips of are her closest friends for decades?
