glad you posted the full edit. Harpsichord covers might make a fun video trope.

IMHO your classical treatments of 20th century song forms are very illuminating for anyone trying to gain more understanding of music history. Thanks.

You might be interested in the work of George Shearing, a blind pianist from the UK. Although he had a successful group that played a light brand of easy-listening jazz, he was a serious musician and could improvise on standards in a very convincing and dynamic baroque manner.

That was stunning :)!
I don’t listen to much harpsichord but I really like hearing jazz music interpreted in a different way.

It really makes it sound like a completely new piece of music . Thank you so much for all you share ! I’m always inspired when I listen to you play :)

I like the clavecin sound. And the funny adorable satisfaction sound at the end of the play

There's a prominent sequence matching this in Bach's Prelude in F minor from WTC II. It makes me smile every time I play it!

Handel basically did this with the G minor suite's Passacaglia. Lovely instrument and playing, though! :)

I have limited encounters with harpsicord where it sounds pleasing -- this was absolutely rich!!

I don't think there is another standard in the jazz songbook that better exemplifies the utility of an extended descending progression through the circle of fifths 🎶

I was tempted to encapsulate that sentiment in a "name one, I'll wait" meme but I'll exercise some restraint 🙃

The comping patterns you've selected for this arrangement are very charming, thanks for sharing this!
