Something people need to realize is there will always be exceptions. Humans love seeing things in black&white, & they dont realize there's always the possibility of being an exception.

I knew girls who said they'd never date anime fans, until they came across an anime fan who was cool & had a great personality. It's not the anime-watching that turns alot of girls off, it just so happens that ALOT of "weebs" are just awkward weirdos--and THAT'S what turns people off.

There's a good amount of "weebs" who have healthy social lives, are good-looking, etc, and these are the weebs who I always see in relationships.

So if you're a weeb having love troubles, there's hope, but at the same time, be honest with yourself & ask "is it my anime hobby that's turning people off, or something else? "

Every man has to have a hobby, collecting manga, video games, figurines shouldn't be a problem at all, keeps the man from being too dull. Now body pillows, I can understand, you have a girlfriend, hold her, not the pillow.

As you would expect, it's ok as long as you aren't over the top or obsessive with it. Same goes for anything tbh not just anime, but otaku can be a bit extreme sometimes lol And there will always be some girls that find it too embarassing to be with someone who doesn't fit in well.

saying "if it's for work then it's ok but if it's a hobby, it's not ok" is such a sad line of thinking. hobbies are meant to make you happy and improve on your skills. if you don't approve of that then maybe you should work on reevaluating your own lifestyle first lol.

The moral of the story here is, everyone has their own views on how an otaku looks/acts. Some were open and varying on levels, while the others just went on with the stigma.
