Don’t Steal from Your Mother

The plaintiff brings her son to court. She says her son started acting out when he was 15 years old and eventually ended up in prison. The plaintiff claims her son stole from her when he moved back in with her. She’s suing for the balance on a loan. The defendant admits he sold drugs and ran with a bad crowd but says being in prison helped him turn his life around. He insists the money from his mother was a gift.
