US visa interview is heart pumping 😊 yong a lot of butterflies in the stomach. The feeling is like you're innfront of a judge waiting for the verdict you are praying and hoping for a positive result but no one can tell. I was interviewed at the US embassy first in 2009. I was with my mother mother daughter kami. I was only asked 2 questions #1 what's your job? #2 Do you have a family? Are you married? Only 2 questions and we were denied. Hindi na binato pa ng tanong ang mama ko ako lang denied na agad. I can relate to the feeling to that woman who was also denied in your story na hindi agad umalis sa window. The feeling is so frustrsting when you are being denied and you know that your have no bad intention at all. My reason then was my sister's church wedding. But hindi rin naman natuloy ang wedding so ok narin. The following year 2010 we applied for the second time. I said to myself if we will be denied again it will be the last time ayoko na lol. Then interview day came. Our interviewing lady was warm and friendly and she was smiling already when we still approaching to her window comapred to the officer in our first interview who was a man with very intimidating aura and baritone voice na the more na nakakakaba lol. I don't understand anong pinagkaiba nung fiest apply namin and the second time becauase sa panagalwa we passed the interview and were granted 10 yrs multiple entry. But in our second apply my mother was only asked 2 questions #1 Howany children you have? Do you have grandchildren? #2 How long is your daughter been in the US. I was asked many questions #1 what is your job? How much money you make in your job? Monthly? Annually? #3 Are you single? I am still single up to now #4 How long you plan to stay in the US? #5 whats the purpose of your trip? #6 Do you have sn intention to marry in the US? #7 who will finance your trip and we got thr visa. But I thought the questioning would end at the embassy but I was wrong because when we arrived at the port of entry in Chicago I was asked similar questions by the immigration officer while doing the finger scanning again. But praise God everything went well. From then on I was able to go back and forth visiting the US.

Interview tips from my experience:
1. Dress smart casual. Don't wear heavy make up.
2. Answer the questions confidently at hindi paligoy ligoy. Pwede naman ang one liner na sagot as long as it satisfies the question being asked. No need for lengthy explanations.
3. For emphasis on the truthfulness of your response to the question being asked, make an eye to eye contact with the interviewer.
4. Complete all your documents and arrange them in order (1st step).
5. Don't put lotion to your hands (2nd step) to facilitate your biometrics. Instead of lotion, dab your hands with rubbing alcohol.
6. Listen carefully to questions being asked. If you did not understand the question that was asked, you could always request the interviewing consul to repeat his/her question. Request in a polite manner though.
7. Adress the staff, esp tne consul "sir" or "madam" and whatever the result of the interview, don't forget to say "thank you for the opportunity/time" afforded you.
8. On a personal note, I prayed a lot while seated and waiting for my turn. Praying helped me to be calmer, more focused and relaxed

Congratulations po! Natuwa naman ako. Approved din ako recently February 12, Window 25, American guy. I was also wearing a blouse with a ribbon. Halos same ng sa inyo pero mine was black. I also wore a gold watch on my right hand and a butterfly bracelet on my left. Same po tayo ng questions except for number 5 🙂
