One on One - Senior Afghan Taliban leader Anas Haqqani

Anas Haqqani, the youngest son of Taliban co-founder Jalaluddin Haqqani, was caught and imprisoned by the US for five years.

His release in 2019 paved the way for the Taliban to sign a deal with the US in Doha the following year. TRT World has interviewed one of the Taliban movement’s most important leaders.

I think I ate all bad news about him and Taliban fighters until I saw recent interviews of Taliban top leaders. His voice still sounds so soft and his words brings peace after unimaginable suffers he mentally physically had taken.
