You don't need trash bags! Use what you have!

Zero waste on a budget tip of the day: use what you already have! I use my bird seed bags for trash bags

Our trash disposal won't accept non trash bags, we tried. So we have to buy the biggest bag they allow for a giant outside can, and use these feed bags for the kitchen to eventually put in the single large one. It's so frustrating that I have to buy bags when I have a small farm and so many empty feed bags. Feels like throwing away money to fill up the landfill. I have more feed bags than I can figure out what reasonably to do with them.

An even better hack is to just make the bag the food bowl! One bag barely makes one meal after all! (This post was definitely not written by a dog) 😉

you can also poke a small hole and cut from the hole instead on cutting the top straight off so you dont have to throw that piece away c:

I would even cut only one side of the bag, so I don't have that piece left to throw away.
