The Kansas Jayhawks are National Champions after defeating the North Carolina Tar Heels last night 72-69. Kansas overcame a 15-point deficit at halftime, the largest in national championship history, to capture its first title since 2008. Meanwhile, North Carolina ran out of gas in the second half as they couldn't keep momentum rolling from their huge win over Duke in the Final Four. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe discuss whether Kansas won it or North Carolina blew it.

The respect Kansas showed not taking advantage of opponent's injury is absolutely commendable 👏🏽

Kansas in a close game stopping the game to let the UNC player get past half court and not taking advantage is a story that's not being talked about enough. Amazing respect

No one ever wants to give Kansas credit. At least not on shows whether it’s radio, television, or podcast.

Haters truly going to hate but the hawks earned that. Especially that second half.

Everyone saying UNC choked, but not enough credit is being given to Kansas for overcoming it. Rock Chalk.

i love how people get surprised when a team makes a comeback... the same way UNC outscored Kansas in the first half, is the same way Kansas could outscore UNC by the same or more points in the second half... its not a collapse, its basketball

Kansas, the gentleman's team. Opponent got injured and they would like the play to stop so the injured player can be looked at.

I’m proud of my Tarheels. I didn’t expect them to get this far. Congrats to Kansas.

Kansas has gone deeper than Duke in the tournament 10 of Self's years at Kansas. Self now has the same number of titles as Coach K during his time Kansas.

Jayhawks did not allow themselves to completely fall apart they regained their composure and played like a team who's been there before.

"His teams aren't physical enough. They aren't intense enough."

Kansas is year in and year out at the top of the Big 12 conference. One of if not the best conference in college basketball and you can't do that without being intense and tough.

North Carolina also out-rebounded Villanova (36-23) in the 2016 title game. In the tournament, Bill Self improved to 4-0 against UNC.

This take is so disrespectful. Ya'll too busy watching pros and stars and reading off stats but missing out on the beauty of college (team) basketball. smh
It was a great game! The refs let these kids play. Props to both teams, programs, and true fans!
Rock chalk!

Shannon you keep saying you don't want to take anything away from Kansas, but you keep taking things away from Kansas. 🤔

Remy Martin is Clutch! Drive to the basket + Dagger 3's and a blocked shot!

Give KU some respect they outhustled North Carolina and played good defense in the second half last time I checked basketball is played in two halves.

Bill Self has always been shadowed by coaches like Coach K, Roy Williams, Jay Wright, etc. But he's never missed an NCAA Championship Tournament, ranked 1 at least half of them, and never lost in the 1st round.

Remy Martin made clutch shots when needed. When he made that second 3 pointer on the corner I was like "oh boy".

I believe Remy Martin boosted their game on the second half. It's sad he didn't get enough love.

Cheap.Adventures
