Hello grundfos, in the past I used an sp pump on a seawater well but after two to three years of operation the shaft which connects the motor and the pump brokes and the motor was running but no water coming out. What happened here? What are the possible causes of this? Thank you

Hi sir, we purchased Grundfos submersible pump with model SP215-3-AAR, Can i have a clear answer cause after subrmerged into well with depth of 73meters, after 24hrs we check the insulation resistance test it was dropped to 0.3mega ohms. The representative said it is fine. But how it came to dropped the readings after 24hrs?

Just saw an ad for this company about how clean water rights for all humans should exist and how it’s not a reality, but I can’t help but wonder what happened to Dean Kamon(may be misspelling that, the guy who invented the Segway) had a device called the slingshot he was trying to get implemented world wide which was basically an instant reverse osmosis machine which could have solved much of these problems, but the documentary and everything about it seems to have all but disappeared. I’m all for helping people and spreading water availability, if that’s what is really the intention here, but it seems the problem had already been solved, but the industry and concern over water availability took ten steps back from the Slingshot technology and decided better deep well pumps were more profitable?

I just had my 4th pump die in 12 years.. waiting for we’ll guy to call me back.. last time he even told me that it would be better to go to a proven pressure tank system.. costly replacement of pump and box.. most recent box that was replaced, was pressure limited to 70 psi, without notice.. Maybe a class action lawsuit would be if interest??

Not impressed with these pumps, the built in check valve failed and was all chewed up after 7 months.

I learned how to pull the pump myself and physically checked the unit because it would pump slowly and also lose pressure.. I took the three side brackets off and reveal the top portion of the pump to discover metal pieces and rubber pieces (all chewed up). Seriously only 7 months of use. And the company who gave me this one under warranty (because the initial one they put in lasted 3yrs) said now I voided the warranty.

Whatever. Still have to pay $600 for a service call.. not doing that. I put a Simer pump in from Menards and it pumps much better actually. (Twice as fast, same pump specs too, and still have my 5gpm restrictor inline)

I think these pumps are junk from my experience. Over engineered, more stuff to fail either because of who made their parts or who assembles them.
