Great video . I use them at times . Like you said. If your a collector and need to fill the gaps it's a good place to do it cheap. I use a ton of different ways to save money on my collection. An family video is one for sure I use.

Video game stores have been a good source for used movies for me. My Blu-ray collection is growing, but I'm only buying things I don't have on DVD, and I've been collecting DVDs since they came out.

Between Blu-ray, laserdiscs and DVDs, I have to be up to 2, 500 movies or so

Dollar Tree has been pretty good for cheap DVDs as well.

It's clear by now that 4k will truly be a much bigger - and well stocked with actual 4k material - thing next decade. Meaning that instead of being wiped out by a huge wave of 4k product, anything you say about Blu-rays now has a whole new life of importance. So for the first time in years, Blu-rays can be considered as a hot "new" item again!

Nice way to buy on a budget no doubt ... I dialed it back a little spending from $80-$120 a week on videos. Criterion sales while great can kill the wallet...which I spend hundreds every sale twice a year. Not to mention 4k movies pouring out now...and now putting out more old movies...such as Pet Semetary, Alien ...must haves...thanks for the info.

Personally the DVDs included with Blu-ray to be pointless these days. In the early days it made sense to include the DVDs but not really anymore if there's already a Blu-ray release.

I recently started a channel that’s focused on physical media as well as hobby board games. Any advice for a newbie? I have a couple videos I’ve already uploaded about my dollar tree movie finds as well as my thrift shop finds- I’m grabbing those deals to build my movie collection :). Thanks again for the info!
