FYI, they're not AI! They're just using avatars but there are real people behind them controlling every movement like when we play VR. They're using motion capture technology that tracks facial and body movements. If you're familiar with vtubers, it's basically like that but idol version.

This is a lot better than others that are completely computer generated and literally blank as they have fabricated personality (Edited this part to avoid misinformation) So from what I've read on Google, Vocaloids and the like can also be called virtual idols cause they exist in the virtual world. So basically there are different types of virtual idols. Plave is different from other virtual idols because they are real people using avatars and they can communicate with fans in real-time and act as themselves not as a made-up character. Tho I dunno what term we can use to differentiate them. Better to search info on your own too to confirm it cuz I'm not a professional in this field.

I prefer idol groups like Plave cuz it gives more people a chance to debut (or redebut) as an idol and showcase their talents that are otherwise ignored due to Korea's ridiculous beauty standards and their demand of perfection from idols.

This is so good. Ppl will only enjoy their music and everyoung visual and choreography. Byebye to all insecurities caused by the Korean fan/public's shallow mindset and beauty standards, without having to worry their real faces being judged or discussed online, makeup, wardrobe choices/dysfunction on stages, weight gain, fat shaming, idol personal lives getting involved, interfered and the list goes on and on.

I hope this will allow more talented trainees/idols who wanted to be heard and to be known, to get a chance to showcase their talent and passion through this new idea of platform, without having to getting judged again.

PS: I f.r.e.a.k.i.n.g L.O.V.E THIS SONG. What a good choice of song to put on replay all day till I get tired of it.
