The sharp, fast winds blew rubble and dust through the air, giving the world a hazy, ethereal feeling. Her ponytails blew and rippled with them, but she stood steady. In the wasteland she stood in, with the huge banners filling the sky, the clouds pressing down on her, and most of the all, the orb hovering in the middle of the air, she felt small and insignificant...it was a humbling sensation. Electric blue sparks jolted against her skin as they spun through the air, and the whole scene gave a feeling of a battlefield, of a place where momentous events would occur. There was a certain tension, a _suspense_ that rang in her ears like a warning call, but her feet were planted and her mind made up.

She would stay and watch for better or for worse, watch the world burn or watch it rise.
