This lesson is very well explained. The little details help you better understand the extra-linguistic messages you give when you speak.

quick question: If you give this information to a student: My apartment is a small. My apartment is a little old. What if some students come up with: "My apartment, which is small, is a little old. And other students with: "My apartment, which is a little old, is small." What's the correct one. Any ideas appreciated.

Look at the following pairs of sentences.

1. a. I saw a student. b. He was deaf and dumb.

2. a. She received a letter. b. He was waiting for this.

3. a. This is the key link. b. I left it behind.

Each of these pairs can be combined into one sentence.

Simon is my friend.
He works in London.
Hello! I have to combine these two sentences using a defining relative clause. It's a grammar exercise.
I would say: Simon is my friend who works in London.
Is that correct? Thanks a lot for you help!
