Mumbai's 85 year Old Love Mate Local Train (EMU) Captured on It's Very Last Journey At Dadar !!!!!!!

Today evening, Mumbai Cst pure DC emu (1.5.KV) majestically enters Dadar station for one last time. Since more than 30 years, I have travelled by this emu and its journeys have always been great. It will be sad to see them vanish forever from Mumbai Cst - Thane after 85 years of great service but everything has its expiry date.

Tonight from 00:00hrs to 06:00am on 08/06/2015, there will be a power block and thereafter Mumbai Cst - Thane will be under 25KV. Now only Harbour Line will be left under DC Power.

I remember getting irritated when I had to travel in these old trains ever since the new MRVC rakes were introduced, but now that It will never be seen, I'll really miss them :(

I remember riding in a local train that was an older model than this one. And they were really cool. Not sure if there is a museum where you can see these trains. They are such an integral part of people's lives in Bombay.

Have lots of childhood memories with these DC Emu's. Missing😔 them a lots. But still we can get little essence of these DC Emu's in retro form on Trans Harbour line. Thanks🤗 to u for capturing it's last moment trip.

Ya have been travelling on daily basis from dahisar to Kanjur marg.since July 2010... Thus using both western and.central line, so got the privilege to travel in all types of emu :-)
