The brakes were correct. And they look like they haven't been adjusted properly. Once I learned how to adjust/set them myself they have worked phenomenal. Thanks for the video.

in most countries, including Poland and much of Europe, the standard setup for bike brakes is that the left lever controls the front brake, while the right lever controls the rear brake. However, in the UK (and some other countries with left-hand traffic), it’s usually reversed: the right lever operates the front brake, and the left one controls the rear. This setup is meant to align with left-hand driving habits.

Great video as always! I love the look of these bikes!

An excellent honest review, looks chunky, probably needs longer testing over few months for reliability, but looked like you had fun with it.

Does it come with Knievel stunt ramps perchance?

Only the UK has the rear break on the left, so it came standard. I have the L20 and prefer the break and throttle in the same hand. I have so far snapped the seat post and the front break cable outer sleeve is too short so I can either have zero front break or if it works via the lever it also comes on when I turn right!

Get some motorbike tires on it first of all. I would change the rear motor because they have nylon gears in those planetary hub motors very unreliable. Hydraulic disc brakes. Is a must on an electric bike. Seems to be a good frame for if you want to build your own customised bike.

Hehe great review and for all its flaws looks a lot of fun!
Sadly, I am the aforementioned hobbit so probably not doable and it’s also only about 5kg lighter than me.
The designs interesting as like you say it’s definitely having a bit of an identity crisis possible from the 70s, reminded me of Yamaha’s prototype Moegi that tragically never went into production (would have done 220mpg!) which was a motor bike that was going the other way and looking half like a bike it was so streamlined, very 50s futuristic too.

These are on flash sale from WalMart here in the USA ..single battery $699, and for $58 you can add a 3yr protection plan that covers even regular wear and tear. IDK if I would have to take it to Walmart if repairs are needed, or a bike shop. I gotta look into that and find out. I need it to get me thru the coming winter and spring most of all. No real plans of taking it on local mtn bike trails which start by my house. Just to get there and hike them. They are dual hiking/bike trails.

I'm only 100lbs and 5ft 5in, female. Hoping I can assemble the thing, as I really don't have anyone who knows anymore than I do. I have ridden reg. motocycles all my life. I have 2 sitting in my garage right now, but not looking to use them thru the winter/spring. SO I wanted this thing.

I was wanting to know how it holds up over sev. months, and a yr. I did find that kind of review, but the person had customized the thing so much, it was a motorcycle/moped with signals etc...that you could ride without a license. I'm not looking to do all that. I do want and need a tow behind cargo wagon. Seems that's not really an option in the companies accessories for this Ebike. Customize one it is. Shouldn't be too difficult I should think. Just need an adjustable in height yoke.

That same "customized" bike review did say the rear shock was sheet. The brakes do take time to bed in, as they do with many out of the box, off the lot cycles and ebikes. So I'm told. I never had an issue like that with real motorcycles, but there is a break in period for them on the engine. This is electric, so big diff. Sorry this is long. It's just I made the mistake of buying a Chinese Dirt/street bike in 2020. Has 21 miles on it, an sits in the garage as un-ridable. Decided to break it out this summer, did all the prep, went to fill the tank and gas just ran right out of the carb. overflow tube. The Float is not stuck. Prob. the hose and clamp or not. IDK. No one will work on the thing. LESSONED LEARNED there. Wasted $2k, but it's paid for, so what ya gonna do? lol. Give to my bro and say you fix it, you can have it I guess. He wants it anyway lol.

Again, thanks for an honest review.

Nice model this m20. Dont understand they put mechanic brakes on it. The Usa "2.0" version does have hydraulics. The PVY x20 is the same fatbike but comes with hydraulics! Sadly dont see the Pvy over here much. Its mostly the Ouxie v8 or the QM wheel V20, and the Ape Ryders. All in black. Made from cheap steel. And mostly kids have m. But as kids are a bit reckless and dont do maintenance. And drive m all year around, which is the best test you can get for a fatbike. And they have the same batteries like this engwe m20: outside the frame. So, I guess this m20 will also perform very well. Im close to getting one. And will buy hydraulics immideatly. Plus bigger discs too. Thanks fot this review. Its a solid ebike. And uogrades are: other rear shock and change to hydraulics. And you have a good and fun ride.

Outside of the UK, usually on a bicycle the lever activates the front brake ;)

The quality control issue is with England not the bikes brake. I have this bike, the thing I dislike the most is that seat is not adjustable...burns your legs out if you are tall. But its a workout! Engwe has other models with adjustable seat heights.

Not a quality contol issue, American bikes have the brakes reversed from us. Very confusing and potentially dangerous for us Brits.

Question about the height of the seat. I'm around 6 foot (183cm). Will it be comfortable to peddle, without hurting my knees?
